Administrative/Teaching Experience: 10 years of early education administration; 5 years teaching ESL preschool part-time; taught for a year at the American School of Warsaw in Poland.  
What Katherine loves most about LADO: the students!!!
Random Trivia: Katherine is a recent transplant to DC from Southern California.  She has also lived in Canada and Poland.  Her traveling experiences include Mexico, Barbados, England, France, Mallorca, Italy, Crete, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, and Belarus.  Her favorite point of destination is the Mediterranean. 


James Doran
Assistant Director

Languages: English and Spanish
Degrees: J.D., M.A. in English and History
Administrative/Teaching Experience: Five years teaching English in Spain; two years as Director of Studies; nine years in international law practice.
What James loves most about LADO: Working with students from all over the world.
Random Trivia: James has lived in the U.S. for fifteen years.  He also lived in Spain for five years, and was born and raised in Scotland.


Tetiana Shuvalova
Saturday Coordinator

Languages: Russian, Ukranian, and English
Degree: M.A. in Foreign Languages and Literature
Administrative/Teaching Experience: 2 years as a Testing Manager for the American English Center in Ukraine; years of teaching in Ukraine.
What Tetiana loves most about LADO: the people that she works with-both the staff and the students who are motivated and hard working.
Random Trivia: Tetiana has recently moved to DC from the Ukraine.  She has traveled to China, Russia, Poland.  She would love to go to Brazil one day!!!


  Se Yeon Lee
DSO/Admissions Officer

Languages: Korean, English, and basic Japanese
Degree: B.A. in Public Administration
Administrative/Teaching Experience: 5 years of education administration; private tutorials.
What Se Yeon loves most about LADO: the students from all over the world, as well as the staff at the Arlington Center.
Random Trivia: Se Yeon moved to the United States from South Korea.  She has also lived in Singapore and Canada.  She has traveled to Cambodia, Thailand, Japan, China, Mexico, and Malaysia. 


  Tatiana Rey
University Program Counselor

Languages: Spanish and English
Degree: B.A. in Public Administration
Administrative/Teaching Experience: 5 years of education administration at LADO.
What Tatiana loves most about LADO: the diversity of the students.
Random Trivia: Tatiana has moved to the United States from Colombia.  She started as a student at LADO to improve her English.  After completing the program, and helping out as a student worker, she has joined the LADO team full-time!
